These terms cover websites designed and hosted by Fairlight Studio ("we", "us") for a business ("you"). By approving and paying for your website you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
For a one off fee of $500 (including any GST that applies), we provide:
We may design a preview of a website for your business before you ask us to. A preview is a concept only, is marked as a preview, and is not published under your name. You are under no obligation to buy it. If you don't want it, we take it down.
If you'd like to go ahead, we finish the site with your details and send it to you to review. You only pay once you have approved the finished site.
Payment is made by card through Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. You receive a tax invoice or receipt by email. We put your site live on your web address after payment is received, normally the same business day.
If you are not happy, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your site going live. We refund the full amount to the card you paid with and take the site down. Any web address already registered in your name stays yours.
You confirm that you own or have permission to use any photos, logos and text you give us, and that the details about your business are accurate. Photos taken from your own public Google Business Profile are used on your site only with your approval. Where we use licensed stock photos, they are licensed for use on your website.
Once paid, the website design and content made for you are yours to use. The web address is registered in your name. If you stop using our hosting at any time, we will give you a copy of your website files on request.
Keep your site hosted and looked after for $19 a month, including small edits, or take your site files and host them anywhere, with no lock in. We will remind you before the first year ends. Nothing is charged without your agreement, and you can cancel ongoing hosting at any time with notice before the next billing date. Web address renewals are charged at cost unless included in a plan you have chosen.
Small edits after launch (such as hours, prices or a photo swap) are included in the ongoing plan. Larger work, such as new pages or a redesign, is quoted in writing before we start.
We use reputable hosting and aim to keep your site available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not responsible for outages caused by third parties outside our reasonable control.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits.
